Embracing Bold Colors In Your Newborn Photos

So, if you’ve taken a look at my work you probably already know that as a maternity, newborn, and family photographer I loooove bold colors!  It is a common theme in my work and even when I am using neutral colors like grey, brown, and white, I still like to have pops of color in them or to really make the baby stand out.  I have many families who request neutral colors and happily do that for them, but what really makes my heart sing is using happy, bold colors that create beautiful, vibrant photos for the family to enjoy.  My favorite of all colors has to be teal.  I’m obsessed with it, and for good reason! Teal works well with every skin type, shade, and underlying color tones.  It makes people’s eyes pop and crates an amazing contrast.  Even in baby photo sessions that involve almost all neutral colors, I will be sure to include just a few sets with bold colors, like teal or maroon, that are sure to make the parents go oooh and ahhh and make their hearts explode with how beautiful their newborn is.  The most commonly requested bold colors in my studio are teal, purple, navy, maroon, rust, emerald green, mustard yellow.
