St. Augustine “Once Around the Sun” Space themed Cake Smash

I had this sweet boy as a newborn in my St. Augustine FL studio when he was less than a week old! Now he’s come back to celebrate his first birthday in style with a “Once Around the Sun” cake smash session! His astronaut outfit was handmade and was absolutely amazing for this space themed session. We decided on a balloon garland with golds, blues, and silvers to make it look “spacey” but also playful and full of life, just like Little M here. It’s hard to see our milestone sessions come to an end; I loved seeing this boy grow up from a tiny baby into a toddling sweetie with teeth… but it’s nice to know that I’ll get to see this family again for a family session and to celebrate another year of love and adventure. This family is so special to me and I was so honored that they chose me to not only capture their son as a newborn, but also as smiling one year old!
