St. Augustine FL: Why a Pregnancy Photo Shoot is worth it

Are you a soon-to-be mom in St. Augustine wondering if you should work with a Maternity Photographer before your baby arrives?  Check out these 5 reasons your should book a photo session to celebrate your pregnancy!

1. This is a special time in your life that you won’t be able to capture again.  No pregnancy is the same, so even if you are planning to have another baby and get to go through this amazing experience again, it will be unique.  With that being said, it is worth taking this moment to have a Maternity Session to make some memories with your baby while they are still your belly so you can remember what it was like while being pregnant.

2. Your baby will love looking back on the time they were in your belly and asking you to tell their birth story from the moment this photo was taken til now! Believe me, every child goes through a phase where they BEG you to tell them their birth story… over and over again!  They will look at the photos of the time they were in your belly and ask for details about what they were like, what you looked like when you were pregnant with them and how you felt before you met them… wouldn’t it be awesome if you remembered these details while showing them a real photo of you looking radiant and glowing?!  Which brings me to #3:

3. You’ll want to remember that pregnancy glow.  Yup, it’s a thing.  Chalk it up to hormones, happiness, or Florida humidity, but you are definitely glowing.  It’s probably because you’re so ready to meet your little one!  I’ve known moms who have tried for over 5 years to get pregnant, have had multiple rounds of IVF, or are welcoming a much prayed for baby 8 years after their first one was welcomed into the world.  No matter what your story is, there is a reason for the happiness of this moment to shine through… and that alone is worth a pregnancy photo shoot!

4. The connection you feel with the miracle that’s happening inside of you is worth documenting.  Ladies, I say this with all sincerity: We are AMAZING!  To be able to create a baby is a beautiful thing… and the connection you make with your baby while he or she is still in your womb is equally as awesome!  My Maternity Sessions reflect that connection you feel with your baby, and if your partner wants to join then the session is definitely made to reflect that wonderful connection as well.  Your baby will be here soon, but let’s take a moment to document the connection with your little one that you’ve already formed.   

5. You look like a goddess.  Say it with me: I. Look. Like. A. Goddess.  You do!  It may not always feel like it because of the bloating, insomnia, and constant sweating, but you look stunning!  Almost all my Maternity Session Consultations start off with a concerned pregnant mom wondering if a Maternity Session is even worth it because she feels less than radiant.  The thing is, after you get your hair and make up done in my private studio, put on your boutique gown, and have my fan blowing a breeze in your hair, you’re gonna rock your session and probably cry when you see the gorgeous goddess that you are during your Viewing and Ordering Appointment. Embrace it, feel it, rock it.
