Lily's Cake Smash

Have you ever wondered how adorable it would be for a sweet baby to dig into a cake on her first birthday??? Well, wonder no more! We had such an amazing time with this happy little baby, and I had so many gorgeous photos I almost didn’t know which ones to choose for her gallery! Although Lily wasn’t overly excited about her cake, she DID adore her flower bonnet and freshly picked flowers. It took her a few minutes to warm up to the idea of more photos after we took the bonnet off, but every baby and toddler goes through some ups and downs during their shoot. As soon as she discovered that the fresh flowers were still there and that the cake was fun to poke at, she was back to her smiling self!

One thing I loved most about this session was how much character this little girl had, it was truly hysterical watching her! At one point in time she lifted up her right leg like she was doing a Pilates move and refused to put it down again! I have this amazing series of photos with this silly sweetheart beaming away with her little leg perfectly poised mid air- none of us could stop laughing! And this is really what the point of a Cake Smash is all about: capturing your child’s personality at the end of their first year and looking forward to celebrating future years together. By the end of every Cake Smash Session, I have a collection of photos that shows the ups and downs, smiles (and sometimes tears!), and the unique personality of every baby who comes through my studio. Lily was no different and I loved every second of our time together!

Don’t believe me when I say this girl was too stinkin’ cute?? Check out the photos from her session below!
